BEST DAY // BLOG-TEMBER DAY 19

Aren't memories amazing?  Yes, sometimes we remember things that may be sad but all in all memories are beautiful and I thank God for them so much.  It saddens me when I meet people who don't have good memories like my sister, one of my nieces and a childhood friend.  They seem to be missing pieces of their pas and sometimes I'll bring something and they have no clue what I am talking about.

September 19: Tell us of one of the best days of your life.

Brave Love Blog

I am sitting in my Mom's living room with a hot coffee on the table, with my laptop facing me and hands on keyboard thinking of which "best day" to share.  I sit here searching and searching in me brain through the many folders of fond memories and then some not so fond.  I can't decide on which best day.

So, I am going to switch it up a bit and instead of best day I am going to share best moment which have some of my best days in them.

I have five nieces and one nephew and I absolutely love them to pieces.  My oldest nieces are 18 and 17 years old and when they were infants to the time they were about 3-years-old I remember laying with them for a nap and I would close my eyes wanting to remember that moment.  I would lay they eyes closed taking in the time and enjoying the fact that they were tiny and still cute... lol.  It started with the two oldest nieces and continued down to my others nieces as well as my nephew.  There are so many precious moments, I remember closing my eyes to absorb the moment and to remember it.  Thank God it worked because I love being able to go back and relive it even if it is only for a couple minutes.  Now they are so big and continuing to grow becoming their own person that it baffles me.

Other moments that are precious to me are those moments where my family was united; especially during the holiday season.  Those were some of my best days, when the family was together.  My siblings have all married and through out the years we all became distant.  We talk to each other often but it is not like it used to be, the family structure is gone and it is so sad.  I pray daily that God moves in their hearts and that they come close to him so that we can come closer together as a family unit.  I could go on and on about why we are so distant but then you would end up reading a novel and not a blog post.  Wow, I started off happy and this moment is ending sad but that's life right?  We have good moments and not so good moments.  It is sad to have a family that isn't as close as they can be but as much as it hurts me, it hurts me more to see how it affects my Mom who not only was a single parent but a widow.  I pray for her continuously that God brings peace into her life and brings her family together.

Ok, let's smile again and remember that God is Good and he is in control.  My best days consist of those special moments I remember with my family or friends.  Days that I remember being "best days" are days where I would make it a point to stop, close my eyes, absorb and take it all in.  As you can tell, I couldn't just choose one day, it was just too hard for me.

Did you ever focus on remembering a special moment of a particular day(s)?

VLOG TIME // BLOG-TEMBER DAY 18

September 18: VLOG

Vlogging is a new thing for me and I sound nervous because I was nervous and I stumbled a little on my words.  Also my hair looks funny.  I might just be to critical of myself.  Like I said in the vlog, I had recorded a previous video this morning but I just didn't like it, so I ended up in my car and took the opportunity to vlog while waiting for my mom.  I hope you enjoy.

OBSESSIONS // BLOG-TEMBER DAY 17

I finally went to my primary care doctor yesterday because this cough and congestion was going nowhere and I was starting to get sinus pressure headaches.  I got an antibiotic shot on my hip.  My hip was hurting for a couple hours.  I even got this nasal spay that looks like an inhaler and it stings for a few second but works quite well.  I am ready to part ways with this virus.

September 17: Your latest obsession. What can you not get enough of these days?
Brave Love Blog

Well... have you heard of a planner?  Yeah?  Ok, I got an Erin Condren planner earlier this year and I have become a little obsessed with decorating it.  Not too bad just simple decorating but it is something I definitely look forward to every week.  I am also a big fan of stationery supplies but that's not new that's something that has been close to my heart for a long time now.

I am thinking of expanding my planner collection from one to two.  I would like one for blogging.  Do you have a planner or planners?  Which do you recommend?

I had an ECLP a few years ago and I had no idea about the going all out and decorating it.  I used colored pens and some stickers but washi tape was not something I knew of.  Washi tape is just so amazingly awesome my collection is slowly growing.  Along with my sticker collections and my own self made stickers.  Every Sunday night has become a planner decorating night and it is very theraputic for me.

Blogging has recently become something that I have been really focused on.  But I wouldn't necessarily say that I am obsessed with either planner decorating or blogging.  I just enjoy spending some focus time on these things.

That is about it.  I know, it's nothing juicy.

Thanks for stopping by.

I hpe you are having a wonderful day!

ARE YOU FOR REAL? // BLOG-TEMBER DAY 16

Hi there, if you have read my 7 previous posts then you know that I have been dealing with some sort of virus.  I had a fever for three days then a persistent cough followed by a congestion.  Today I feel 97% normal and so happy about it.

September 16: The real you vs. the online you.  Are they the same or different?

Brave Love Blog

The real me and the online me are two completely different women.  The online me is 5'7 has a wonderfully spacious home surrounded by trees and lovely flowers... hahaha... just kidding!

I want to portray my real self as best as I can online.  So, I guess the real me vs. the online me are the same.  I want to be real with the struggles and happy moments I go through.  I don't want you the reader to leave here having a false impression of me.  I am scattered brain and have trouble collecting my thoughts in order.  I jump around from thought to thought and writing has really been an outlet that has been helping me get better at collecting my thoughts in a smooth order.

Sometimes I read blogs or follow people on social media (that just sound creepy doesn't it?) and peoples lives seem so perfect.  They are always doing such great things and look so happy.  Do you ever compare yourself to someone else?  I know I am guilty of it and I don't like it.  I used to wonder about those people whose lives look like nothing goes wrong but then I remember that it is probably not as it seems.  I am sure those people have their personal struggles just like we all have our own struggles.

Not a good hair moment...lol

I want to be the same person across the board.  So who I am in real life and who I am online are the same and i hope to keep it that way.  If you see me changing that remind me about this post.

Moving along

It has been two weeks of the blog-tember challenge and can you believe it?  Two weeks down!  Time goes by so quickly sometimes I wonder if I even had my eyes open or did I just sleep through it all?  We are half way through the month and this challenge it is exciting.  I am glad that I have been keeping up with each day.  Hopefully I continue strong and finish my second attempt at blog-tember challenge.

How are you doing?

WHAT IS IN MY PURSE // BLOG-TEMBER DAY 15

September 15: What is in your purse?

I cleaned out my purse a couple weeks ago and took out all the interesting things.  I have managed to keep it pretty neat this time.  I use a back pack because it is more convenient for me and all my junk.
I am in the market for a new one.  Have you seen any nice back packs out there?

1. My back pack.  I got it on justfab.com for $10 I believe.  Pretty good deal.  Click on this link and you can get $10 dollars off http://www.justfab.com/invite/4739911/.

2. Travel sized hand sanitizer, lotion and vaseline.  I constantly sanitized my hands and then they become super dry so the lotion comes in handy.  The vaseline is for chapped lips or days when the skin around my nose is dry.

3. I have to have a lot of protein and a carry a Zone bar everywhere I go.  The strawberry yogurt flavor is a favorite of mine.  Have you tried Zone bars?  If not, you should they are good.

4. My medicine, I typically have them in this cute container pouch but I left it at my Mom's house so I am just lugging around my medicine bottles.  I used to take more meds but have managed to take care of myself well enough to the point where we were able to lower my meds.

5.  My camera, I take it everywhere I go.  Sometimes I use my phone for pictures a lot but my camera has a much better zoom.

6. Last is my planner, I take it everywhere.  You never know when you need to schedule something in.

That is everything that is in my purse as of today.  It changes on the day to day basis but I basically carry all these things all the time.

Wow... day 15 already.  We are half way through September and blog-tember challenge.  I am excited that I have managed to blog 14 days in a row even when feeling like poop.  Have you been participating in the blog-tember challenge?  If so, have you been keeping up with each day?

THE GOOD BOOK(S) // BLOG-TEMBER DAY 14

5 Days of whatever virus I have is really getting to me and I am over all the coughing and not being able to breath.  I blow my nose feel better for 20 seconds and back to not being able to breath... boo

Brave Love Blog

September 14: 5 books that have impacted your life the most.

I feel like I say this in every post but this post was a bit difficult.  I have read a lot of books that have impacted my life.  If I was asked this question about 6 years ago my answer would have the bible and a few other books.

Now, the book that has done the most impact in my life is the Bible everything else is just for entertainment and I can't put them on the same level or even list of impact.

There are books that growing up I read and drew me closer to reading.

// To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee

// Night by Elie Wiesel

// Animal Farm by George Orwell

// A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry

// Robert Frost poetry

I could go on and on about books that impacted me but not quite like the Bible.

I hope that you are having a nice day
